I sometimes get confused by Fiio's numbering schemes :-[, so what's the difference between the E07 and the E17 aside from the  24/96 decode?

I think the optical input on the E17 plus some further menu options on the eq? On the e07k they retained the dual headphone out also.

It is an interesting development to be sure as I thought the same also. if it is priced lower then I guess the E17 is the prestige model of sorts? The twin jack of the old E7 is a key differentiation at this point but after that well the E17 has it licked unless the DAC chip is an upgrade on the e17.

Very interesting. I thought E7 was benched already. I think I'll wait and see how this competes with the E17.

How about the battery life? The E7 claims to have 80 hours I believe. Will the E07 be the same with E7 or E17 (lesser battery life) in terms of its battery?
