My UM3X RC is here!

First thing I noticed was that the build quality is just fantastic. Same thing with the cable, nothing like the crappy cable that comes with the TF10. Very light and flexible with zero microphonics.
Comfort is top-notch. The PL50 still beats it in this regard, but that's a
much smaller IEM. Isolation also seems to be great with the Shure olives. I won't know for sure until I get to try it in buses and jeepneys, but it's looking great so far.
Sound is balanced and
very forward. It doesn't have that spacious, almost headphone-like feel of the TF10, but that's to be expected for an IEM meant to be used as stage monitor. What I did not expect was that the bass was very strong -- maybe even stronger that I remember from the TF10. It doesn't have the hyper-detailed treble of the TF10, but the detail is there, and it's definitely not fatiguing. Overall, I'd describe the sound as "complete." Nothing jumps out at you, and it doesn't have any weakness in any frequency range. Just like a monitor should be.
I think I've found the perfect IEM for my commutes. I don't think I'll be in the market for an IEM for quite some time.
