it is not about the "cost" of the rig, but on how you "value" it.

and a great share... got scared by the reviews of it being too "monitor" for personal use... well sounds good to me... will try the other tips later...

yes bro. not a big fan of it but I would like to listen to it again. we were comparing it to the SM3. I was so in love with the sound of the SM3 at that time that I think my perception was screwed. lol. I just want one so that I could turn them into a custom. :)

They do have the same sound signature but the presentation is really worlds apart imo. I like it better than the SM3 because of that :)

You do turn everything into customs bro :)

Wow, UM3x huh. You are really a rich kid Kalikot.

How would you compare the mids of SE530 to these?

I dont have it yet ;D i just downpaid for it. And from short auditions, of course no one beats the Shure mids, but these have something I'd like to call "intoxicating" properties so they have great mids as well.

Im not rich since I had to let the TF10 go for this :(

I just love the BA bass on these and they're not veiled or lush like the SM3 :)

Got my UM3x now, still as great as ever when I first laid my ears on ceph's pair ;D instrument detail is really something and the perfect balance of punchy bass and the treble detail I was looking for.

The instruments take frontstage on this IEM and the vocals while present and and definitely no slouch, they are intimate but they still arent the Shure mids which have yet to be beaten in my ears.

However this IEM is more "complete" for me as it has almost everything I could want in an IEM.

I am happy I got poisoned by this IEM :) sorry SM3 lovers, I just can't like an IEM which doesnt work with Rock.  This one takes the SM3 sound sig, removes the veil and then adds a bit of sparkle to the instruments throughout the spectrum.
