any 1st hand info about hd25-13 ii?  saw it on listening room facebook page.  priced lower than hd25 addidas.  impedance 600ohms.  according to headfi, sound is more neutral, more detailed and controlled.  bass riches deeper and cleaner and, get this, surprisingly easy to drive from a portable source? ???

yup they are a little cheaper but as i've read from another forum also they are particularly hard to drive with a low powered amp maybe a fiio e11 can drive them but not as loud as the 70 impedance version :) if your going portable i think you should buy the hd-25 addidas originals the eyecandy alone is worth the extra few bucks :) or better wait for the new hd-25 :)

I wonder just how easy to drive it really is.. :o

Perhaps they're saying it as a relative term to.. oh I don't know, other 600ohm cans?
No source, no amps, no IEMs, no headphones. Just music. 8)

I can color it for a fee if you want :) You can even specify the colors or design (though keep it to decals).
Jake, can you color mod an HD25 like this?

we remember, we forget.

AFAIK they're exactly the same except for the colors.

I think I can, but not for the cable. The hardest part will be protecting the padding at the top of the band; I'd prefer it if I could just remove them and stick on new ones after.

LOL @ Collie

anyways, we asked leo about it before and he said the pads + headband pads costs around 3-3.5k shipped. that is like the price of an high-end audio technica leather pads, or a stax sr007 leather earpads, or an hd650 velour pads, or a k701 velour pads, or a beyer t5p leather earpads, or a gazillion sheets of pad papers.

the swivel part? no, the right part that holds the cup of the HD25 doesn't move. only the left side. It's unlike the DT1350 that both cup holders can move.
