Right now the UEsf5v2 can throw a bigger soundstage than the Fostex O_o Will try to tune this one as well...

Thicker pads.

Look at Sachu's TP dampening scheme. If you completely kill resonances on the baffle and cup, it'll work just as well.
The formula of headphone ownership satisfaction is oH = n+1, where "oH" is the optimal number of headphones you need and "n" is the number of headphones you currently own.

Just what I plan to do --- I have to visit the leather shop to do me some thicker version of the pads. I even tried to simulate an angled pads a la K701 :D I've already used some fiber fill but it's still not enough... will try foam. Resonance... plastic should be dead, right? If not, still it doesn't have a good sound :D But I will try to tune my pair without TP'ing them :) So far so good.

It isn't dead. Far from it iirc (I'm probably wrong, but plastic generally isn't dead). Try to get them to emulate the O2 pads if possible. And the denser the foam, the better. Fiber fill should have worked in making a bigger soundstage...

But O2's circle ;)
Velcro'ed leather pads FTW! ;D
I'll play with fiberfill and foam... but have to continue next week. The headphones stay in the office :D

Your point?
Not sure how well that'd go. The seal would be lessened.

I googled for O2's pads and found a sheepskin 'front' - more expensive than the T50RPs. Dang.
I hope the locals can make me some good pads. When to visit the shop?! Just finished giving 4 dogs a bath, tick infested! Dang!

I'll make an extra set of pads for you. You'll just have to wait...a year. But hey, lambskin-memory foam pads will be worth the wait! ;D They'll probably be on the expensive side though...
