HeadPhile peeps,

Been following numerous threads of the latest FOTM @ Head-Fi, the EarSonics SM3. May nakakuha na ito among us HeadPhilers? Too intriguing kasi yung IEM. It's been hailed as the best thing after sliced bread (LOL). Well, almost all FOTM there were thought to be the best thing after sliced bread. Haha

Aaaaw...

It's too pricey kasi eh. Although I'm far from contracting upgradititis in the near term (I still have to pay for the ES2 cable payment, among other things...hahaha ), ang next upgrade ko na sana eh customs na ng TF10s. But the SM3 is very intriguing. It's as if it's obliterating every top-tier IEM out there, even the much-vaunted UM3x.

Yups. Pero if you already have a top-tier multiple-driver universal IEM, would it be worth the wallet-emptying? This is the main reason behind my holding back from buying another top-tier universal IEM; if I'm going to shell out a substantial amount of money for a sidegrade or mininal improvements in SQ, I'd feel "cheated". If money isn't an issue, I'll buy every multiple-driver IEM out there. Hahaha!

The cheapest they can be had currently is US$ 352 from Soundearphones.com - comparable in price to the Westone UM3X actually, as far as triple driver universals go. If my preorder slot for the DBA-02 is too late, i'll go for these instead.
