I really wanted to move into Ponticelli phase 1, the minute I stepped out of the car the fresh air was awesome, the grass was cut, the pool was clean, the houses perfect... but no the missus felt it was too far away form the kids schools and family in San Juan ... (ach only 1 hour drive at best!).

We spent more on a 60sqm condo in San Juan when we could have had the best house on the lot in Ponticelli lol... ah well maybe next time

yes i'll do re-cabling on both...i still need to find 4 mono female jacks.

Still up in the air. I think I might ask you to do my recable once I get my female stereo jack as well. We'll see. I have the ability to do it but I'm still a novice at soldering, would rather let an expert do it as I'm afraid I might mess something.

I have a source for my female jack and headband, all I'm missing is cables. Hope I can attend the 27 meet, it's still a 50-50 thing for me.

My question i guess is, can you do this mod:

Resolder some silver cable from the right Grado driver up the headband into the left chamber. In the left chamber, connect the right and left drivers to a 3.5 female stereo jack, and attach the plug to the chamber.

That's all really. This should turn my GS8000 into a single-sided headphone with swappable cables.

I'll take care of making my own cable, I've gotten quite good at that and can source some nice angled Neutriks for the job from bro Sin. Though I still need some silver cable if I want to try a silver cable on this (not sure if it's a smart idea, might make it too bright -- but hey the cable is replaceable so no biggie.

I'll be getting stereos, not mono. Bro Arvin is the one who will be picking them up, I think he is getting them from Spectra in Makati. They might have Monos. I've seen some mono females in Ace or True Value I think but they are not very good in quality.

What a shame, the kids should've packed up and moved to La Salle or Bene over here. The you could join all the Southern Meets I plan every other week. Oh and yeah we can get drunk at midnight while bashing each other's brains out in Tekken 6. How perfect would that be!

well I still have the long term aim Erwin hehe.... ponticelli phase 2 is being built though not so sure if it will be as nice as phase 1, if ever she relents, i.e. I get a job in the south haha... then it could work out...
