Washington Square by the Village Stompers.  The banjo strings sound incredible.

Rodrigo y Gabriela - Stairway To Heaven.  Amazing acoustic guitars.

David Chesky and Wonjung Kim - The Girl From Guatemala.  Awesome dynamic range, spectacular sounds.

I ripped the first 3 minutes and 41 seconds from the Prizzis Honor DVD, which is a performance of Ave Maria by Alexandra Ivanoff.  That was a long time ago, and I just converted it to an MP3.  I should see if I can find a better copy, but in the meantime, this is a fabulous performance, the sound is big and clear and very, very good.  Also a good song for deep bass with the organ in the background.

Evanescence would shine as well on the Grados. Their Anywhere But Home live album sounds so lifelike. :)

If you're a Final Fantasy fan, try the 3 albums from The Black Mages. Most of them are rock instrumentals.

I like to listen to my ms1s with female voices. My favorite pieces are:

Adele - 21

Best track: "Someone Like You".
The fullness of Adele's voice are well presented.

Best Audiophile Voices VII

Best track: "What The World Needs Now".
I'm always into vocals, but I also can't resist the musicality i'm hearing.

Shakira - MTV Unplugged

Best track: "No Creo"
Fun sounding and very musical.

cool think you like DnB, they are nice.
but how about dubstep, any feedback on how dubstep sounds on grados?
dubstep is ok but the point of dubstep is for the sub bass. though you could still hear it on the sr60i, the playful hats and the upper grind of the wobble bass takes center stage. it gets tiring after a while. i actually prefer using (oem) beats when listening to dubstep because thats what the music is about anyway. lows lows lows.

listening to dubstep with the grados made me feel like the loser near the speaker with beer in hand staring at chicks grinding each other.
listen to Dub on Mochan's Frankenmonster of a grado

Phaeleh is awesometastic on it

For a "normal" grado:
Transatlantic Sessions
especially with Mary Black

get some speed with Protest the Hero for your grados

I just got some female Jazz artists from Sforza, and I really like Stacey Kent in particular. Not sure how they sound with Grados, since I haven't owned one in some time, but I really like her voice with the headphones I have.

Bulldozer Butterfly - Xploding Plastix (Treated Timber Resists Rot) - eargasmic, the found percussion is bright and airy, in fact, every XP song is great on Grados.

Hang Him Higher (First Instrumental)/Hang Him Higher - :wumpscut: (Music For a German Tribe/Preferential Legacy and Bunkertor 7) - really cuts through the midrange congestion the song can cause on a lot of headphones.

Acoustic Alchemy - guitar based jazz, of course it sounds mint on them :D

F*** Button's Tarot Sport album (I assume I'd get in trouble for posting the uncensored word even though it is the name of the band)

Mag Mell - Suidakra (Book of Dowth) - absolutely stunning.  The song itself is insane, the Grados make it that much better.

Pervert's Church - Cradle of Filth (From the Cradle to Enslave EP) - ethereal on the top, visceral on the bottom, wonderful all throughout.

Mordfabrik - Suicide Commando (Axis of Evil) - I think this may be due to preference, but my Grados inject it with a juicy type of high mid energy that I prefer over giving it access to thumping bass, like most would want to.

Skyfire...well it's awesome metal, of course it sounds excellent :D

Fleur de Lille - Parov Stelar (Flame of Fame EP) - <3.  <3<3<3<3  Perfect amount of tight bass for those kicks and bass guitar, piano/sample is gorgeous.  I would like a wider soundstage image out of the song itself... but oh well.

Venice Baroque Orchestra - Vivaldi - The Four Seasons, 3 Concertos for Violin & Orchestra - wow.  Want a wider soundstage, but everything else is just...wow.  Recording hiss present, but not too loud.

The Angel - Ministry (Twitch) - the whispers are so intimate, so much more powerful...it enhances the meaning and effect of the song.

George Fenton - The Blue Planet OST - It's orchestral.  The Grados do wonders here.

Tuxedo - Necro Facility (The Room) - It's...it's like a smooth version of Skinny Puppy, and the only other band to be able to give me nostalgia hits I'm unable to identify the cause of.  The Grados enhance the effect, and lend a hand of clarity to the band's work.

Finally, Skinny Puppy, but SP sounds phenomenal with any sig to me, as long as the resolution and soundstage are up to par, so YMMV.  Their synths are the most organic you'll hear, and sound like a recorded physical instrument in a weird way.  *In case you couldn't tell, Skinny Puppy is my go to band, their overall originality and innovative synth work really paved the way for a lot of artists to come.  Not everyone will enjoy their raw, organic sound, but if you'd like to give them a shot, I'd recommend a more melodic introduction to SP; try out Inquisition, from Last Rights.

PS: my Grados are RS2is, for those wondering about sound sig.
I am midi and digital and doesn't use preamps or mics.
