Bulldozer Butterfly - Xploding Plastix (Treated Timber Resists Rot) - eargasmic, the found percussion is bright and airy, in fact, every XP song is great on Grados.
Hang Him Higher (First Instrumental)/Hang Him Higher - :wumpscut: (Music For a German Tribe/Preferential Legacy and Bunkertor 7) - really cuts through the midrange congestion the song can cause on a lot of headphones.
Acoustic Alchemy - guitar based jazz, of course it sounds mint on them
F*** Button's Tarot Sport album (I assume I'd get in trouble for posting the uncensored word even though it is the name of the band)
Mag Mell - Suidakra (Book of Dowth) - absolutely stunning. The song itself is insane, the Grados make it that much better.
Pervert's Church - Cradle of Filth (From the Cradle to Enslave EP) - ethereal on the top, visceral on the bottom, wonderful all throughout.
Mordfabrik - Suicide Commando (Axis of Evil) - I think this may be due to preference, but my Grados inject it with a juicy type of high mid energy that I prefer over giving it access to thumping bass, like most would want to.
Skyfire...well it's awesome metal, of course it sounds excellent
Fleur de Lille - Parov Stelar (Flame of Fame EP) - <3. <3<3<3<3 Perfect amount of tight bass for those kicks and bass guitar, piano/sample is gorgeous. I would like a wider soundstage image out of the song itself... but oh well.
Venice Baroque Orchestra - Vivaldi - The Four Seasons, 3 Concertos for Violin & Orchestra - wow. Want a wider soundstage, but everything else is just...wow. Recording hiss present, but not too loud.
The Angel - Ministry (Twitch) - the whispers are so intimate, so much more powerful...it enhances the meaning and effect of the song.
George Fenton - The Blue Planet OST - It's orchestral. The Grados do wonders here.
Tuxedo - Necro Facility (The Room) - It's...it's like a smooth version of Skinny Puppy, and the only other band to be able to give me nostalgia hits I'm unable to identify the cause of. The Grados enhance the effect, and lend a hand of clarity to the band's work.
Finally,
Skinny Puppy, but SP sounds phenomenal with any sig to me, as long as the resolution and soundstage are up to par, so YMMV. Their synths are the most organic you'll hear, and sound like a recorded physical instrument in a weird way. *In case you couldn't tell, Skinny Puppy is my go to band, their overall originality and innovative synth work really paved the way for a lot of artists to come. Not everyone will enjoy their raw, organic sound, but if you'd like to give them a shot, I'd recommend a more melodic introduction to SP; try out Inquisition, from Last Rights.
PS: my Grados are RS2is, for those wondering about sound sig.
