he did a mod to make them open and bassier than the HD205 :D

I would second that, if it is modded, might probably be worth a try, felt damping behind the drivers would help as the initial mod.

 My first cans and to tell you the truth I didnt really like the sound. Its like listening a loud speaker next to my room. Not an audiophile btw but my ears certainly know what they like. Peace.

off the box i plugged these in to my ipod> e11 and i can say that yeah they sound very balanced. bass is fine for me. i just had to add 3 levels on bass on the eq setting of my rockbox. will burn them in to see if there will be any changes.:)

i don't like the very long cables though.

bass was really nice with the e11. it did rumble on some songs like nelly's just a dream.
