Ok, I know people might dislike these headphones and might say they're all just bass bass and more bass :) but for me these headphones are fantastic specially for they're price ;D not just because of the bass they give since I'm a big basshead, but also since these headphones react pretty well with EQ! ;D got my set-up to run sweet vocals along with that good sub-bass through EQu on the iphone ;D although this is just my opinion :) what do you guys think about the XB500? :)

way better sir! ;D but I still use my HD438 sometimes for light listening :) although I think my HD438 is starting to miss me often haha! ;D EQing on the 438 and the XB500 is light night and day :) the XB500 responds well upon EQ, but the HD438 tends to distort a lot :(

yeah you'll hear plastic clicking sounds in the hd438 alright. Congrats on your new cans btw.

I should have bought the xb500, vs HD438. I had no peace of mind on the latter, always thinking of the distortion.. and always hear em distort when watching movies. uhhh. But this can for sure will not distort on  those movies with rumbling sounds, unlike the 438. It was a bad move on my behalf, but that's all on the past :D

This can is one of my possible next can, but I'm set on buying the htx7. Tough decision.

I've yet to hear the xb500 but I find that xb700 and 1000 are not too bassy for me. More like of a qualitative bass. I'd like to hear an xb500 as well. :)

Yeah bro.. I'm almost there. haha!!

I think I've heard(or read) once, saying that the xb500's bass quantity is much greater than the XB 700 and 1000. What ever may the results may be, I definitely wanna hear them myself. Plus I'm digging the pillow pads!! :D

Same boat I was in sir, I didn't research enough about the XB500 which got me purchasing an HD438 :(

Quite true sir that the XB500 has much more bass than the XB700 or XB1000 according to people over at head-fi and somewhere here in the forums as well :) some people even pick the 500s over the 700s ;D I'd be glad to let you guys audition as long as somewhere in UP or commonwealth area ;D
