The DT440 just seems to be very photogenic. No matter what shot I take of it it looks good! Just wish I had a camera with better imaging capabilities.

How is the sound of the 250ohm DT880? Kinda tempted by the FS post in the other forums heh heh.

Check with bro Egay, bro Don and bro Neil. I think they have the most experience with that particular can.

How is the sound of the 250ohm DT880? Kinda tempted by the FS post in the other forums heh heh.

these sounded bright to me at first listen and i was coming off the senn ie8 and the grado sr60 at that time. the soundstage is wide, much more than a grado sr60 although the dt770 might have better soundstage than this. very clean sounding, the mids are less compared to a grado sr60, but on long term listening, i found them with just enough mids and highs. bass is kinda on the shy side but its very accurate, and bass heavy tracks will have a good amount of these surprisingly... these are very revealing cans, and i loved them for that :)

the 600 ohm beyer improves on the mids presentation. i feel the treble and bass is improved too, but it might be the psychological effect of the mids...

hope this helps. you might wanna audition them first. but i brought a sansa clip to the meetup and that was a big fail... :D

Neil (Thesharkbite) has these now, you might want to pm him for more impressions. bro Don has an armamentarium of headphones sold or within his possession. he could give you the best description of these :D

how much are they?

770 has larger soundstage than the 880? Very surprising! I do agree though the 770 has a really big soundstage. I was quite shocked when the 770, a closed can, had a much larger soundstage than the DT440, which is open. And you know what? The DT150 is even bigger than the DT770. :o

i haven't heard the dt770 but the things they are supposed to do well would be the balanced sound and the soundstage. i assumed that these were better than the dt880 soundstage-wise :)

i'm talking about the 600 ohm dt770... but i think these are the 80 ohm versions?

although logically speaking, as these are closed cans, the opposite should hold true...

well let's find out during the meet :)

---

and that dt150 really piques my interest :)

d you know what? The DT150 is even bigger than the DT770. :o

Actually I don't feel the dt150 to have a big soundstage at all. I feel it has a focused but narrow one which I really like.(Thats with the velour).

Wow! That 440 pic makes it even more drool-worthy for me!  ;D

Hmm... Speaking of bro Neil, I don't think he knows about the big changes that occurred.. Anybody got his number?
