How is the sound of the 250ohm DT880? Kinda tempted by the FS post in the other forums heh heh.
these sounded bright to me at first listen and i was coming off the senn ie8 and the grado sr60 at that time. the soundstage is wide, much more than a grado sr60 although the dt770 might have better soundstage than this. very clean sounding, the mids are less compared to a grado sr60, but on long term listening, i found them with just enough mids and highs. bass is kinda on the shy side but its very accurate, and bass heavy tracks will have a good amount of these surprisingly... these are very revealing cans, and i loved them for that
the 600 ohm beyer improves on the mids presentation. i feel the treble and bass is improved too, but it might be the psychological effect of the mids...
hope this helps. you might wanna audition them first. but i brought a sansa clip to the meetup and that was a big fail...
