2 DFs?  :o  The temptation is overwhelming!

I'd really like to hear those cans. :D  All black is looking sexy.  Congrats on the acquisitions, and do share your impressions. :)

My first batch of vintage AKG from HK:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
two AKG K240DF/600 ohm
coming soon at Sept ff vintage AKG:
(2) K340 electrostatic hybrid/ 400 ohm
(1) K240 Sextett/ 600 ohm
(1) k141 pro monitor/ 600 ohm
(2) Realistic Pro50/K250 Sextett 600 ohm

congrats on your batch! they look to be in great condition. were you actually able to get a pair straight from HK and AKG? i mean if you can that'll be awesome. i would like to buy another as a back-up if possible. i got lucky on my pair cause i been searching months to get a pair going on ebay and asking around headfi for users selling a pair and i was finally able to buy some from a head-fier.

i heard they commonly show up on European ebay and so forth. is that true?

really nice job. is the acoustic filters paper on them? or is it woven fabric? it looks like paper in way but...woven paper(if that makes any sense). wasn't it a pain to solder the drivers as well?

No problem sir Ken, the cable should be ready by then ;)

its material is like that of a face mask - it has fibers so i guess its a fabric that looks like a paper ;D

it's not that hard since the solder area for the wires are not that small, if you want to take out the driver from the case you can pull it out after you unhook the two plastic clips that hold it  :)

How do you like the K250's? Are they different? I've seen EP, MP, and LP baffles on those.
The formula of headphone ownership satisfaction is oH = n+1, where "oH" is the optimal number of headphones you need and "n" is the number of headphones you currently own.

Laptop->EMU 0204->HK430->Beyerdynamic DT48//NaNite N2->Audio Technica ATH-2 or Monster Turbine Pro Gold
