will be watching out for these!  :)
"On LED Technology"
US: Larger companies, more extensive design (electrical, optical, thermal), more engineering testing, more MFG testing, etc.
CHINA: If it turns on, it's good!  ;D

Oh I might actually like these. I though the sony lacked high end extension making them sound bright and dry instead of being bright and airy if only they had more upper treble

What I am mulling over is the fq chart superlux produced:

It shows the sony as being the slightly more forceful of the two in the treble department but in all honesty I find it, well sort of darker than the lux. If you listen to the esw9 the 661 is the direct opposite.

hehehe maybe their chart is the sonys chart skewed a little basically showing that they intended to create a legit sony clone with this particular model. With the different enclosure and pads, even using identical drivers as the sony wont produce a graph that is as identical as that. heck even left and right measurements of the sony won't be as identical as that.

Here's a V6 graph for example showing the response of the left and right channels

My test unit of the 7506 is Joma's which has probably seen better days hehe, but it is slightly more comfortable than the lux, the lux being a tad stiffer.

I am testing them both with the HA-3D amp with 3 output jacks so everything is sonically the exactly same which is a blessed relief when trying to a/b things.

Looking at both pads, the lux is nowhere near as worn as Joma's 7506 so the lux need a bit more break in there but even so the way they have made it with the slightly angled cups they would have been better with a leather headband than plastic wing system.

This is nit picking by the way, it pretty comfortable though the clamp is vice like.

As for the charts, I see but I dont really believe it haha... the lux is a lot more energetic in the top end.

Like I said :) I don't think those are the superlux charts. I think those are just a skewed version of the sony graph. It's almost impossible to get as exact a response as that using different measuring equipment to begin with plus the fact that the pads and enclosures of the lux and the sonys arent even the same just makes it even more impossible even if they were using the same drivers. How much more if they don't use the same drivers, they will even be more different hehehe. I can now guess that this is like comparing that Philips senn soundalike that I sold you to the hd595 for example :) I am now officially interested in the Lux

Yeah those pads need replacement. Maybe CD-R King has identical pads?

When I passed on the 7506 to Marcus, I was able to try the 661 and the difference is in the midrange, or lower midrange. The Superlux definitely sounded more musical, and the Sony a lot more flat, but bassier.

Yeah the lux are more in your face and open but yup, I can detect a tad more extension in the Sony. My wife checked both out also and she preferred the Lux - she felt the Sony presented playback "too far away".  The greater intimacy of the Lux leads to the bass sounding 'bigger' but its not quite as extended.

Phew its up finally - tough one this to review as the 7506 was very similar in many ways.

By the way listening to the soundtrack to Meet Joe Black - this is a strength for this headphone, a very definite strength :)
