i will have my hd661 recabled next week upon blackwing's return to manila. I hope it would bring more mids and bass.

Heard this earlier at Listening Room. I was ab-ing with the 662f with their HA3d- iPod Nano setup and I found the 661 was tighter when it comes to bass and is more detailed than the 662f.

However it loses to sibiliance which makes the treble somewhat unpleasant to listen to. It's this headphone's weakness imo. Mids were so so and nothing to be talked about.

Still it's a bargain buster for the price.

Superlux is really bringing great sound at bargain prices
If it looks bad CF it, If it sounds bad DENKO it!

I'm finding the HD661s quite suitable for low volume listening, pump it up too high and the treble just jumps at you in quite the painful manner  :o

And as a friend of mine put it, it does sound quite crisp.  8)

I have AT SJ-55 as my first decent-sounding headphones. How does the Slux HD661 compare? Are these phones easy to drive with a Sansa Clip+/Fuze?
