Beyer have never been know for wood have they? i think the prefer the efficient plastic and steel if history serves me right - it would be some move if they did though 
Not that I'm aware of. It's mostly ABS plastic and aluminum. And high end Beyers are characteristically bright, so I doubt they'd ever introduce wood as a main part of the cup because most woods I've tried add fullness to the mids.
