^ Now I've found something that I find about as powerful as the E9 with high impedance cans while having a less analytical sound. Its hard to believe but here it is...

The JDSLabs CMOYBB 2.03 sounds better to me overall vs the Bravo and the FiiO E9 with my HD600s when plugged into the wall with the 12V 1.5A ACDC adapter I'm using. If I were to nitpick, maybe some details have been smoothed out but that tradeoff is not a big deal considering that this is the best allrounder I've tried with the HD600s in a long time and it is only $60! WTF

FLAME SUIT ON: I like the CMOY tonality for the hd600 more than the Burson HA-160D's H Jack :D

Well, there you go, Bro Don. Simple things in life.  There was a bro, who wanted to know which amp to go with the Grado, i think it was Bro Qnerd, well bro this is the amp 18v JDS Cmoy RA1, in the original red Altoids can, really looks so cool too.
Trust only your own ears. Mine are different, lol.

hmm I like the e10 a little more with my grado sr225 but with the 300 ohm senns, these are nuts!

Care to give more detailed impressions on the effect of the CmoyBB on the Senns? (i read the reviews at headfonia)
But what about it makes it meld so well with the HD600??(perhaps some inexplicable bliss) And is your Cmoy a stock one or did you do some customization.....you got me really curious here and would make me jump straight at the $60 amp.  :P

Additionally, how does it overall improve from the amp section of the E10, Thanks!!

With the hd600s, the cmoy using wall power is about as powerful as the e9 yet smoother sounding. There used to be a nasality in the hd600s sound on the E9 and even on the Burson ha160D that is not there on the cmoy making them sound very musical with anything i play. Even though the detail level of the cmoy is not as top notch as some high end amps, their tonality is what makes them special. The tonality factor plus good power is what is making the hd600/cmoy combo a huge winner.

The e10 can hardly put enough volume on the hd600 for it to clip. If the recording is loud though, it can get compressed in its sound from time to time. Don't stop with the e10 for the hd600. If you want power for cheap, get a cmoy for the hd600 and plug it in the wall. All I can say is that is SLAAAAAAUUUUGHHHTERRRSSS the E10!

It's just that i've been reading that the e10 clips rather easily, well that's if what nwavguy says is true. Then again, i'm thinking of buying an e10 as a temporary solution, i've taken due consideration and might order a cmoy very soon. Which leaves a space open for the DAC (ENMA looks good with the cmoy ->color scheme) but yeah. Just wondering whether i could listen at high volumes even with just the e10 (i don't plan on doing it often....but i do feel like blasting the volume level at times)  ::)

The E10 does clip but it does it in a soft way almost like some kind of compression before anything nasty comes in. It isn't like lots of portable amps that just buzz with 100% distortion once it goes past some limit.

The cmoy for example buzzes with distortion once it gets to its limit but its hard to do with hd600s. With the he400, i got to that point on the cmoy.

The E10 however at full volume has no distortion or clipping with the he400 whatsoever except it is just not very loud. With the hd600s, the e10 just starts compressing and getting thin the more you turn it up as if only volume goes up without the dynamics and power.

Now i'm having a lot of trouble deciding what the next upgrade will be T_T ....from a fiio e10 i'm supposing getting a good amp would be the way to go, but there's also the possibility of going for an amp/DAC as well.
well, a few possible choices:
the O2 NwAvGuy
the CmoyBB
Meier Corda 2move
C&C XO2
.....well, honestly, i'm out of good ideas

I'm also looking for an amp and have read a lot about portable ones. The ones you've chosen are all notable but if I may add, the TTVJ Slim w/ USB DAC may be of great use for you. I remember you told me you like your vocals in your songs and the TTVJ slim is a warm sounding slim amp which can also have a USB DAC. It should be a big upgrade from the fiio e10 in both DAC and AMP functions. It also keeps your laptop rig very portable.

If you've already considered the CmoyBB, you might also want to look at the JDS Labs c421 which uses the same Opamps their CmoyBB uses specifically AD8620 or OPA2227. In reviews, it is said to be an upgraded version of the Cmoy with USB charging and a slimmer, more solid enclosure. It should have more battery life and stronger driving power than the Cmoy (as JDS Labs stated). The OPA2227 seems like the warmer choice based on what I've read between the two opamp choices.

Of course, researching is good but auditioning will be better. Can't wait for my pair to show up at my doorstep. :)

EDIT:
Of course, what I said above is based on what I've read about the HD600 and portable amps paired with it. Also from what I remember your preferences are.

Oh damn, i must hear for myself the difference between the 600 and the 650....,hmmm, the c421 sounds pretty interesting, i forgot to add the yulong u100 and the pico amp/dac....auditioning is something i would love to do of course, but you see...i'm in tarlac :P

It's the new version. All the Sennheiser 6XX headphones have been "new ones" since 2007. Unless the ones they're selling are NOS.
