AKG's gonna release a new "high-end" IEM called the K3003.

Seems like it'll be priced at 999 Euros and might be a triple BA IEM and it has volume control.......

This will be interesting though I hope they release one without the volume adjuster to be honest - I like a straight line from source to ears :)

I sure hope it is not 999 Euros, that puts nearly or slightly more expensive than the lcd-2 and the JH customs, maybe $999 or less  ::)

I have a feeling this will be excellent but why does good products almost always have volume control? i dont understand. hopefully they price it at around $300 and make another version w/out the vol. control

The housing of this IEM should be made of titanium or some expensive metal(platinum maybe?) for it to be "worth it" :p
Seriously though, these NEED to be the best sounding universals because of the price alone.

Kidding aside, I noticed that the other day too.  Never tried any AKG IEMs, and I haven't heard much comments on them either - but for some reason, I'm kinda looking forward to these.  The volume control knob-thingy looks a bit iffy to me, but heck the whole thing looks sexy. :)

Definitely have to wait for reviews. The price alone is unjustified unless it has some kryptonite quality we've never experienced before

Could this be the K701 IEM? :D But for EUR 999.00 that's way over the top and volume controls are not for hi-fi IEMs. :)
