With the thought of selling my first ever audiophile grade headphones which have gone through major tweaks already, I decided to give it some cosmetics upgrade. What's left with the original SR80 are the headband, cable, drivers and the rear grille. The casing has been replaced with Mahavishnu's wood work and BonD's (wiredstate woodworker) rear case cap. I decided to throw the very first yellow Senn pads and replaced it with the brand new one but this time didn't put a hole on it. The "tuxedo" remains. I believe the yellow Senn pads together with the 'tuxedo' give Gradogs that additional bass response making Gradogs more balanced on the bottom end.
Giving it a 'final' listen today, I noticed that the soundstage and bass has improved and I think I'm going to keep it after all

update: one of the cups fell off yesterday when I was putting it back to the headband so I fixed it last night - photo opp!:
I taped the cup first so I can use it in the office
