First Impressions
first of all, i'm not a good reviewer.. so expect it to be very short. I haven't really much auditioned to other high-end headphones
Build/Comfort:
feels really solid like a tank and quite heavy.
they are quite heavy in your head and the cups kinda put pressure on your ears and this will be really the issue in this cans that is if you can tolerate it.
the wire is so thick and has a lock so that it won't fall from the cans. there are 2 line out so you can daisy chain. earcups can be flipped ( i believe this the practical version of the beats studio's mute

)
and of course, the ridiculous carrying case

Sound quality: using ALAC files thru iPhone 4, iPod Video 80gb and MacBook
Studio-like ExperienceI fairly believe that this is the way artists also intended for it to be heardIt may sound another bass-heavy cans but is the best bass i've ever heard, accurate..... bass is uncompromised
Right out of the box, pretty quite impressive. it is bass heavy (as usual) tried it first on the iPhone 4. The bass really present on the songs and compared to the es10 this is heavier but when it comes to mids and highs this is better IMO than than the es10 and much clearer and smooth on the vocals, but that is only on the iPhone haven't tried the es10 on a good dap as the ip4's dac is ridiculous.
On the ipod video, the bass is lessened and doesn't really feel that heavy. The highs are sometimes too revealing on these cans, Taylor Swift's voice sometimes is fatiguing here but the highs overall are great and the vocals are really clear and smooth. The mids are great Taylor's voice is crystal clear, elecric guitars can really be heard well You can really distinguish the separation of the instruments. As expected, these are closed cans, soundstage is average for me.
When I put this cans on my laptop, they shined very well from lows to highs they're all present and accounted on every track.. heaven and earth difference. On some songs, it is true sometimes the bass overpowers the mids. They don't sound muddy to me and I think for most of the songs I listened to, the lows doesn't really overpower the mids and highs. The Highs do really have their own place here and have really good extension. I find the senn HD418's surround sound that i've auditioned at PMC better than the Beats Pro but I don't know if it will improve as I burn them or maybe because of the studio-like feeling the Pros have.
I really love the mids here coz' the e.guitars' really clear and warm.
The song that really shined on this is Bruno Mars' Just the way you are, as the chorus enters you feel the warmth of the bass then when the drums enter in to the scene you feel like there's a parade goin somewhere after that the bridge enters and his voice echoes and I felt his voice surrounding me and the extension is perfect and crystal clear. Next is the soundtrack from Rocky lV Hearts On Fire (mp3), this is an energizer song and it really energizes me on these cans.
Lastly, Spongecola's Tambay (mp3) Man this really rock, from the intro, where bass drums and cymbals enter, you can hear the separation and the full body of it then come the warmness and crisp and clear electric guitars then bam!! all instruments clash and creates so much amazing impact delivering power and excitement to the whole music.
I think i really need a portable amp for my ipod video

if i'm missing on something please, please do ask.
After listenin to them for a few hours, I felt they're slowly opening up
Overall, I like them and I think it needs a lot of burn-in to open up. Right out of the box they are good, I don't know if I'm just not used to the sound of the cans and I think they really different from the IEMs.
I still can't say if they are worth the price or not. I have to burn them and audition other stuffs as well. But from my first
experience in can like this ...
I just don't hear the music, I feel itAnd I admit that there are also better headphones out there that I still haven't auditioned.

ok that's all. i hope it helps. and I hope you understand my review

UPDATE:
after 15 hours of burn-in these canns start to expand now like a universe haha.. i'm starting to feel like they don't sound canned anymore R&B, Love Songs and some classic..
still not much quite soundstage
BUT....
the separation/layering of the instruments is highly noticeable here... i think this makes up for the soundstage from my point of view

or maybe i'm wrong.. hehe
a good example would be my Spongecola's Tambay (intro part) and Red Hot Chili Peppers' The Zephyr Song (intro part)
BUT...
Listening to Hard Rock songs like Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory
Points of Authority
In The End
> the bass warmth or mid bass (?) tends to overpower Chester's vocals a bit or could be really overpowering
Crawling
>mild only
A Place For My Head
>this is where it shines (similar to The Zephyr Song for the intro part only)

David Cook's
Always be my baby
>bass is really warm here and tends to overpower David's voice since both of them are Bass? hehehe..
The Bass Warmth Effect
Sometimes I feel like floating on the clouds
Sometimes I feel really motivated and energized
Sometimes I feel the suspense like there's someone chasing me
These cans seem to really focus on the warmness of the bass (bass, mid bass, upper bass to the mids)
There You'll Be (OST Pearl Harbor) (sorry, low quality mp3

)
This song is full of mid and upper bass, I think

From the beginning of the song you'll feel the bass warmth til' the end.
It feels really emotional when listening to this as if while listening to Faith's voice there is an orchestral background that goes up and down. On the bridge where Faith gives the breakthrough of the song, it has a very long extension, her voice seemed to go farther away and away til' it fades away and the Pros seem to deliver them in a dramatic way thus, making it more emotional
Broken Vow (low quality mp3)
It became more emotional when I listened to this song. I hear the pianos' keys one by one. Lara Fabian's voice is clear but can sound more inviting in a high quality audio file. This song makes me go daydreaming and stare at the clouds.
Love Will Keep Us Alive
The vocals are amazing and the bass and electric guitars are very well presented and enveloping. The warmth of the bass is steady never overpowering.
Hearts On Fire (OST Rocky lV) 160kbps (oh my! Dyaems

)
This is my favorite song.
This would be the trademark of the BEATS PRO for me. It has the best kick in the drums as if the drums are being whipped! It has emotions as an energizer and challenges you to do better and harder. It also shows its depthness and shows a decent soundstage. Based from the avguide review, where lows/mids/highs are all accounted on every track and if POWER is what you're looking for, this seemed to be the perfect song for me

On the bridge part, this is where it gets really interesting where the dynamics go higher, the scream of the electric guitars are very solid and sharp, this is the part where the song tends to challenge the Pros to its limits and surprisingly, I shivered as all elements in the song are presented with great separation and bringing the sounding level to the next level. It sounds perfect when you workout on the gym. The drums kicked harder and harder on this song and gives me the feeling of immediacy and more emotionally energized. The Beats Pro deliver this BIG from start to finish.
IMHO, Bass can easily be felt, again, even at modest volume levels. This just goes to show that
you don’t need enhanced bass, you need headphones or speakers that can handle audio the way it really is

If my reviews aren't enough for you, maybe this would help, from the experts and more credible than I am:

UPDATE: May 23, 2011 MondayI've finished burning the cans for 103 hours using pink noise and some white noise.
Not much difference from the 60th hour burning process..
they sound clear now, I heard the details even more this time. Still not much soundstage maybe below average
Bass is sometimes heavy on the bass guitars and I am kinda annoyed sometimes coz I feel it's too much for me..
it maybe too much for me on Hard Rock .. sometimes the vocals on some Rock songs sounded a little off on some songs that
heavily played by e.guitars but does not disappear but really sounded whole, detailed and uncontrolled at times (i hope it would
reduce as I continue to use them)
BASS/MIDS are sometimes too much (midfreak here) and at times aggressive in a good way and may (may not) be good to some. But a lot of times they really shine as well for me making the song musical and emotional
it also an unforgiving headphone as 320kbps bass sounds bloated to me and vocals are kinda harsh or distorded and FLAC/ALAC seem to show their potential.
(Usher OMG 320kbps vs ALAC difference on the bass thump highly noticeable)
HIGHS - I notice that it added some extension to it and still maintain its sparkling since the 60th hour of burn-in and this is where I appreciate them coz they are not fatiguing or overpowering.
This cans really shined on me Dream Theater songs (Metal) The Count of Tuscany and A Nightmare To Remember
I can't seem to find areas where it lacks but rather I find it too much at times. But still, even though they are aggressive and uncontrolled at times, they still sound natural, whole and live for me. I think maybe hard rock fans would appreciate still the aggressive whole sounding of the bass e. guitars as it is too much for me.
Overall I love these cans as they are really accurate and musical for me but sometimes just too much on some songs.
