joining the bandwagon here... these are very comfortable!! sound is very laid back and detailed as well. i just used mine for more than 8 hours straight last night without experiencing any stress in my ears. Sometimes though, it just gets too laid back..

Looks like you got the old version which is more laid back vs the new one. Its not just hearsay on my part because I got to compare old vs new side by side

yeah this is the older version. Umm for example, when listening to live female vocals, when you're at the peak of the song already, in the modulation part.. you know that the singer is already belting out and you expect the voice to pierce through your ears already, but it doesn't.. or it does, but it's not irritating to the ears..  i really can't describe it haha

right now im only using an e7+e9.. i know the amp contributes a lot

was supposed to buy the TTVJ slim last month for the alessandro's but i chose to sell them and get the HD650's instead. now im contemplating on what amp to buy. my budget is still around the 10k range for now..

Its simple to describe. Its just a dip in upper mids to lower treble region. Theres less of that dip in the new version and even less on the hd600s. The hd600s don't have as much bass as either version of the hd650 though.

Actually i got it from a close friend
of mine who just came back from the states.

Oh btw, since these are balanced
Headphones, would you notice the difference if you use balanced amps as compared to the non balanced ones?

I would highly recommend the uha-120. I have tried it and i liked how it synergized. Plain musical. :)
Of course there are more out there. The ttvj is one thing but i liked how neutral the uha is. Or you can go with pico which is priced higher.

Btw, congrats on you new purchase!  8)

Balanced headphones meaning balanced wires? Or are you just talking about the sound sig?

Get Sir Ken's G&W T2A. I really liked it paired with the HD650.  :)
