Beats : Good or Bad
« on: April 25, 2011, 06:22:10 PM »
Hey everyone . I wanna start this thread to asking members of Headphiles if what do they think about Beats.

Anywhere I go I keep seeing some people with Beats. Correct me if I'm wrong but I know for the fact that their prices are just like apple.

So... Hoping many will share their views or experiences with these headphones and I'm excited to hear from the audio professionals of headphiles :D.

Just like apple would be an understatement. Monster is known for overpricing for things like HDMI cables which cost tenfold more than the competition :P

Their build quality isn't up to snuff either. I've read of lots of stories of the Beats Studios getting snapped at the headband part :(  And they sound like cans which should be priced half of it. Some even say that the OEM versions sound better than the original ones (really??)

The Turbines and the Turbines Copper and Gold are some of the best IEMs when it comes to SQ though, still they are alot more expensive than the competition.

Monster does some really good and aggressive marketing much like Apple, but they don't seem to have the same quality control and price/sq ratio
If it looks bad CF it, If it sounds bad DENKO it!

Uhh.. Which Beats?

And what exactly do you mean by "good or bad?"

If Beats (even if they are the Tours), were priced 60%-75% less of their current market prices, I'd definitely get a Tour and a SoloHD. Studios, maybe, but probably still no since it's only a fashion statement for me (don't like its "functions").

Oh and I'm assuming that you're only referring to the Beats line, which DOES NOT include the Turbines.

Well if it sounds good and done right. Why not? :)

This is my favorite thread hahaha

they are GOOD for their SQ but given the PRICE...

that's what make it really BAD to many people..

I am a Monster/Beats fan and it is where i found my sound signature..

they just have a very good or brilliant marketing on these.. that's why you have to pay the price..

but to the ones who have a lot of money to spend.. price won't matter to them..

and for me.. they are good, Monster/Beats.. I don't really think about the price because it's really justifiable because of their

advertisement on these and they are my sound sig. From the killer design to its SQ my ears just like them.

The Beats' sound may not be to everyone's taste, but what is?
