I used to own the basic stax 202 with 252 amp. (2050 system II). But what I really want to listen to sometime is that Stax Omega with the 007 amp ni Ken :D

Gaaaahhh! I used to think Staxes were just overrated high-end gear, but that was until I heard Doc Bern's Lambda (first time I heard an electrostatic) - it instantly sparked uncontrollable Stax Lust! Their attack and decay is really something else. I really would love to try the Omega II one of these days.  :)

LL-30 FTW

Also tried insyte's Lambda. Wasn't poisoned as much but it did make me aware of their terrifying speed. Something like a weightlifter with the dexterity and endurance of a ballerina.

I'm glad I'm a basshead, so I have a lot of poison resistance against Stax. Or else I would be spending my PC upgrade budget on a pair, like Ken's 3030 system.

You MUST hear the O2's bass.

And you can get into the Stax world for as little as $70 by getting a used SR-3 system. In production is around $300 I think for the 2020 system.

The formula of headphone ownership satisfaction is oH = n+1, where "oH" is the optimal number of headphones you need and "n" is the number of headphones you currently own.

Laptop->EMU 0204->HK430->Beyerdynamic DT48//NaNite N2->Audio Technica ATH-2 or Monster Turbine Pro Gold

Depends on what model of stax bro. As what i can remember Koss ESP-950 was one of doc fer's top favorites, it has some similarities with the Grado sq, but much airier and quicker response according to his descripiton. Maybe bai don can chime in on this since he has experience on both.
