A "lot of people"? FYI bro, I've been following the reviews on both HE6 and LCD2, and so far only Immtbiker and (Larry) HeadphoneAddict (barely) choose the amp hungry HE6 over the LCD2, I really find this to be no surprise given that both of them are tight with Fang. Not to mention those two were the very 1st ones who helped push the "failed" HE-5 and were its staunch supporters when it was launched last year. By the way, isn't it a coincidence that these are the same people who own/owned your much beloved Jades.

In all seriousness, I think the only way you could justify having an HE-6 is if you had a K1000 too, because they both need speaker amps. Or if you had a pair of power-sipping speakers. Or have a DIY spirit and want to build a Firstwatt amp.

Currently, there seem to be 2 orthodynamic camps romping at Head-Fi bro, the ones who have been long time Ortho heads and Thunderpants loyalists who have been quite impressed by the LCD-2, while on the other side of the fence there are these Fang die hards who just gobbles up anything and everything Fang throws at them and try their very best to push them around. I understand the fanboyerism running amuck between the 2 camps there, so you really have to read between the lines. That's why I really appreciate the listening impressions given by regular non-ortho heads there who have no camp affiliation whatsoever, and who simply want to express their opinion on the cans.

I'm really excited for Skylab's comparison of the two. If anyone's qualified, it's him what with experience with basically every good amp made recently. What speaker amp do you have Sir? They'll work with them without blowing right? Moar powah is always good!

No, from what I read just about any speaker amplifier will do (but SET's need not apply). You need a K1000 to justify a HE6? Again no, of course not, I don't see the logic in that. Like I mentioned, even old antiquated SS receivers would do it for a pair of HE-6.

I understand you're just a 16 year old kid bro, but you keep injecting supposed facts here which are really off the mark and it's easy for less informed people to be thrown off by it and get confused.

I'm looking forward to Rob's comparo as well. Then again, it'd be difficult to evaluate 2 cans with 2 different amps having the source as the solitary constant. Too many variables in the mix to make a definite conclusion. Nevertheless, it'd be interesting.

Yeah, the problem with Fang is that instead of doing his cans' R&D in house, or at least with a closed group of beta tester head-fiers, he rushed his cans to the market and let his unwitting customers do the R&D work for him. It's truly despicable!

I'm usually a lot more unbiased. I want an Audeze more than Fang's creation. Don't know what came over me. A mixture of confusion, sadness, and being over tired really messes with your mind.

If I had PS, I'd have shopped the grillz into gold.  That would actually look pretty interesting. Probably hideous, but interesting. And I've always thought the Heil-looking grills looks pretty awesome.

I'm planning to do something quite bold with them grills, I just don't know if it'll work. hehe. Anyways, it'd be reversible so what the hell! hehe.
