I'm guessing it'll take it a long time before it get discounted back to 199$ XD.
I don't have mine yet, and a lot can go wrong between now and then.  They might even cancel me.  But there's also a chance after upsetting so many customers, they could get some stock they don't want.  I worked in electronics retail for 7 years and I could tell you so many stories about what goes on between mfrs and dealers.  So anyway when I get mine, maybe I'll see if they are willing to sell any more for $230.

Then I'll be waiting for the right time to strike a ninja move then ;D.

My understanding was that because of the 'DT' designation, they were aiming for a "monitor" headphone more than anything else.  This could be a scary thing and sound really strange, or maybe not.  The video guy said "really pure" sound a few times, which should mean very flat and maybe rolled off a little on the ends.  That's what I expected, but nobody is saying yet.  The last word is maybe they ship by early to mid-April.

Having had the t50p and growing to like it after the Beyer SG headband mode I am hoping this cured the problem with the bass separation (or integration shall we say). I still miss that purity of the tesla treble the t50p offered and if it is $299 then this puts it right in there with the t50p.

It does look like a darker cousin of the t50p anyway I just hope they produced a tighter headband and improved isolation this time round.

Sir marcus, based on the t50 it looks like they(dt1350) have the same cans. How are the cans of the t50? Are they durable as the hd 25 :D?

I see. I'm just afraid the fact that this headphone(dt 1350/t50) will easily snap since I'm gonna use it most of my time being portable on all sorts and types of commuting and traveling :D. I just hope the 299$ + 60$ worth of purchase will be worth it and won't snap in a blink of an eye XD.

Yes I've been reading on it :D. And I noticed you didn't continue your comparison review of the t50 vs hd 25 ;).

I didn't do a comparison review against the Hd25 bro lol.. I did one against the tma-1 vs the HD25. The beyer t50p is one heck of a long posts with lots of sq review and build including a blow by blow on the headband mod :)

So have you ever gone a stroll with the t50 outdoors? :D. It really is hard to take outdoors a 350$ headphone and especially the fact it looks fragile XD.

Its not fragile but then anything can qualify as fragile if you jump on it or throw under a train lol..

I thought it was 10k in China last I heard from Bro Enygma ;)

In china... lawl XD. Still I'm not aiming for the T - 50 though. Aiming for this dt 1350 ;D.

I guess you're right about the fragile stuff. :D thanks for the tips.

Actually I believe this is actual Beyer stock and not OEM or anything so 10k is a bargain, but this DT-1350 might be a better plan since any lessons learned from the t50p could be applied to the dt - 1350.

I await Dale's review for confirmation of this :)

I was told by Beyer SG that new production runs of the T50p will have better clamping than the initial run and they were working on a better ear pad with denser material (yet to be confirmed).

Well, this is interesting.  Looks like Beyer is more forthcoming on earpad tech than Sennheiser hehe.  I just hope if there are variants for the 1350, they are offered for sale.  I wouldn't want to miss an interim earpad model. ;D
