I got one for Christmas  ;D

Trying to understand the sound signature, it's totally different from everything I've heard.

First impression: Amazing detail and neutrality, but I think there's a dip in the treble (someone please confirm this)
Bass extends deep and clear, not boomy.

My bro now owns my M50 lol
You are one lucky headphiler, :D , take your time on them, they need burn in time, I think coming from the M50 you would find less treble. You need burning in too, lol.
Trust only your own ears. Mine are different, lol.

Congrats bro!
Jaben promo bundle with the CEntrance portadac and case is so good a deal!

So do you find it as a big leap from the m50? Also, your nee babies will like to have a neutral amp.

Enjoy your merry Christmas gift. ;)

Congrats! I felt the same way when I first got them. :) It's the most unique 'phone in my roster along with an unfiltered sm3. The clean sound just wraps a finger around me.

Burn it in  though. It's sounds a little peaky when it's fresh out the box but as usual YMMV.

I felt the dt1350 was peaky even with burn in, but not unbearably so. But it just wasn't my thing, not enough bass. :)

Yes neutral DT1350 and the likes are not for Bros who generally like a U V sounding headphones, unless an EQ can be slipped in between.  :o

Still loving my dt1350, but straight out of the C2, I feel that it's lacking some power. I think a portable amp might be good, but I don't have a big budget (if at all).

Snooping around here let me find this:

It's a DIY amp being sold by a local here. It's 90SGD, which is pretty decent. However, I don't know anything much besides people saying it sounds better. Do the specs say anything? especially about its performance with the dt1350 or as an amp in general?

In my experience the FiiO E11 was a good fit for the dt1350, to my ears at least. It added more meat to the sound but of course YMMV.

Don't know anything about the amp you posted. :) just wanted to give you another option that won't break the bank.

I think the C&C XO2 would be the best pair up with this headphone. To me, the DT1350 is sorely lacking on the mids to low mids having a more U-shaped sound signature. Not as hot as the HD25 but sounding thin. Anyway, give the amp a try.

isnt that a cmoy with 2 opamps? sure it will give more power to the dt1350 though, but im not actually sure about the sig that will change it.

try the E17 or x02

I have read about the C&C X02, and I was interested. But I can't find a source here in Singapore. Jaben told me they used to carry it until C&C withdrew from the international market and focused on China.

I currently have the E7 I use as a DAC/Amp with my desktop, but I feel it doesn't have enough power to drive the dt1350. I can't get the E17 because my parents would object too.

I'll try and look around for other amps. Maybe I'll hit gold with Jaben's in-house amp brands like Go-vibe and Hippo or even the Leckerton UHA-4 if they carry it. Otherwise, I'll probably bite the bullet and buy the Madcap Amp. The price is good, and he is respected in the SG headphone scene. Just really short on reviews.

if you heard the mini3, the uha4 sounds almost the same as the mini3. aggresive.

I haven't, unfortunately. To be honest I haven't tried many amps at all, apart from RSA and Pico amps. I usually just try out iems and headphones when I have the time.

I currently use a C2 with my dt1350s by the way, which doesn't have a line-out. I have read however than the headphone out is very clean, which is why I'm still open to buying amps to really drive the dt1350s.

I really love their sound. My friend bought the hd25-iis as portables, so we compared them. IMO the neutral, well-extended sound of the dt1350 is better for me, though I am sure many would prefer the hd25 for the "fun" sound. I would say the dt1350 is for a very intimate experience with the music, while the hd25 is for toe-tapping fun with the music.

I have found the solution to comfort problems!

Take the velour pads of the Sennheiser hd-25s and just place them on top of the pleather pads of the dt1350 (you don't even need to remove them). They're instantly comfortable, and I can't really detect sonic changes.

Good bye sore ears  ;D

These are my DT1350 with and without the HD25 velour pads...green/red are with the pads.   I can tell the difference.

I understand. I actually tried a bit of comparing today after I spent some time with them already. I tried listening to some female vocal tracks and it did seem a bit bright, especially on Nina - Love Moves In Mysterious Ways from her Nina Live! album. I didn't know the bass was pushed down that much though.
