I put my faith in Beyer. I haven't met a Beyerdynamic I did not like in some way.

Haven't heard it yet lol.

I was so disappointed when I heard it plugged to my mini^3.  I expected much ore bass than the ed8 and K518.  it had enough bass as the 750dj maybe a little more.  it was detailed but I expected so much more. but then they could've been talking about the 600 ohm version

btw how big are the DT1350? they look like the T50p

Awesome! I love how it is single-sided. That was the only complaint I had with the t50p.

I'm surprised you guys found the t50p's treble too offensive. It had the sweetest and smoothest treble I had ever heard on a portable headphone. Methinks dale thorn if you don't like these I will pick them up from you. Pending an audition, of course. :)

^Yes, the T50p is not treble happy at all, just that the bass could become a bit to lean and light footed if not pressed firmly on your ears.

It looks like this will be a good experiment.  With an old Beyer DT-48s at 8 ohms, I had a impedance step-up transformer made by Beyer.  I wonder if something like that would help with the T50.  I know some amps are really sensitive about the load.  But maybe there's also another factor besides impedance.

Well, my lucky purchase price of $199 U.S. just went up to $230, via an update notice I got in email from B&H.  They said their website price of $199 was a mistake.  They also informed me that the "7 to 14 business days" is now changed to "Early April".  And since it's a special order, I had to pay in advance.  I'm starting to feel like maybe I bought from the wrong place.  Be interesting to hear what other people experience with their orders.

So... Does it mean you're going to pay what they priced it? I saw the price raised up to 299$ in B&H XD.

This headphone is definitely interesting. It's closed for one... and the DT150 back then I liked... this could be something here but for $300, I wanna hear it first. Also, who here now have the T50p if I may ask?? Haven't heard that one as well and would love to know how it sounds....  :(

I got the one for marcus a few months ago. Let me see..well to start things off..their highs are beautiful not like what most people said they are not harsh. crisp precise. mids are forward and accurate. they are not smooth but clean. lows are there but a little thin the bass is controlled but it's there. The depth is there instrumental placing is ok but not good. Soundstage is quite big for a closed can. And they are very musical and a little airy like most beyer it pulls the little sounds and detail you never heard on most headphone. Overall quite good in my opinion. They around 800hrs burn in. To sum it up it's clean, accurate, airy, musical but lacks bass for most people.
Best of both world ~_^

They said $230 for me, and reconfirmed it by email.  So now I just wait for them to ship it, and I get the $70 savings.  I suppose when they discovered their mistake they did not feel they could charge me the entire $299 amount.  I hope they don't move my order to the end of the list, and I hope it arrives with all accessories, especially the custom carry bag.

Marketing is a funny thing.  By having the price at $199 for so long, they would have gotten many pre-orders, and those pre-orders were all cash basically, since they had to be prepaid.  So you can imagine some of the not-so-nice replies they must have gotten when they informed their customers of the "mistake".  They increased me to $230, which is strange enough.  So I have a feeling we may see some discounts when the 1350 actually becomes available.  So wait for the review and then see what the new prices are.

I'm guessing it'll take it a long time before it get discounted back to 199$ XD.
