kindly specify the strengths and weaknesses based from:

bass
mids
treble
soundstage

also hows the mids of w4 against fx700, is it more upfront?

might go to in this route fx700 or w4 later on this year

Judging by feedback, it might very well be. I think I prefer the SE530 though.

Any westone 3 vs 4 comparisons?
If it looks bad CF it, If it sounds bad DENKO it!

not really. it depends on your preferences. like usability, comfort, sound sig. id rate w4 a little bit higher than fx700 in terms of an overall product

well, that's a good news

it's very much helpful to provide details, which is better in terms of highs, mids and lows   ;D

highs: w4 = very detailed and effortless w/out sibilance even at high volumes
fx700 = very detailed w/ a little bit of sibilance depending on the record and volume
mids: w4 = more micro detail than 700 and upfront though not as upfront as shure se535
fx700 = very good and natural but still cant compete with ba drivers though very close
lows: w4 = good extension and impact but lacks a little bit rumble around 20-25hz
fx700 = the bomb

yeah, it's true,

comparing the fx700 and fx500 both are great in all aspects, the big brother have better details and mids but

the fx500 have deeper bass and more rumble against it  :o  at the expense of mids and clarity

just my 2 cents

now, i finally understand, i might like the mids of westone4, i'm thinking how good is the bass of it, the bass of um3x already satisfied me during the meets

how's the bass of um3x compared to it, thanks
