so bro dononus...
what is your plan now?
will buy a new pair of tracks?
just demo them first para di ka magsisisi sa purchase mo.
its free naman, just ASK the sales.

Can't demo them here in Dumaguete City. I would have to buy one to try unless someone sent me a pair to try out for a day or two

I like the Tracks. But I think the PX100 is better sonically for my tastes. As Don mentioned it has that "analogue sound" which is just too smooth. Just how I like it.

Also the PX100 I more portable, which is more important to me in this category of headphone. tracks has double-sided entry which you all know I despise.

Glad you like them. 100% sure you just poisoned Mochan into these lol.

I was poisoned into these a long time ago. Was actually supposed to get them from listenjared. Well no worries I'll wait for don to put them up and get them from him.

I noticed the PXII series need to be turned up high to sound right. The PX200 also had this problem. Sound like crap at low volumes.

This phenomenon is also true with the hd600s and some other senns too. I think the diffuse field equalization is the culprit. Its as if they are designed to be played as loud as you listen to bands playing live hehehe

...Sounds like crap huh?! :P Best description ever. Definitely going to give these Senns a 2nd auditioning.

Ah you didn't like them on first listen?  You'll notice when I talked about the PX200-ii I mentioned how lifeless they were when I first listened to them. That's because I also tend to listen at low volumes. I've since found that the PX200s benefit a lot from amping but that they also sound great out of a 2nd Gen iPod with volume at about 90%.  That's crazy for me, I usually listen at about 40% volume.

Not yet Don, but from your descriptions I can already imagine how they sound, I've read enough of your reviews and then listened to the said cans afterwards to get a clear idea of how the stuff you describe sounds like. :)

I also know that these will eventually find their way to your IFS, and I will be waiting.  8)

it doesnt matter bro who would be the best.
in my point of view, i believe not everyone WILL LOVE PORSCHE THAN TOYOTA.

what really matters is our gears will give what we are really after.

...profound happiness and everlasting contentment.

Not a good comparison in my opinion. Porsche and Toyota aren't in the same league and they target a completely different market! Sorry I can't help it being a car enthusiast. hehe

Toyota vs Mitsubishi vs Honda or Porsche vs Ferrari vs Lamborghini. These can be decided by preference and they are in the same league and category.

But I agree with your general point that people have different tastes. :)

hehehe I think his point was that the tracks were so much better that they were like the porsche and the px is the toyota :D I haven't heard the tracks so I cant really comment. I can say though that if the tracks are like a porsche and the px is like a toyota that the tracks should be as good as an hd800 or LCD2 hehehe

The PX best the Tracks in portability and convenience anyway, even styling. And the SQ isn't particularly bad, it just depends on one's particular tastes. :P
Sheesh

Yeah, bro MBC's analogy there is quite lopsided. hehe. Who wouldn't prefer a Porsche over a Toyota road car, but I'm sure he did that simply in jest.  ;D

LOL! ;D

Anyway, I own a Sennheiser PX100 and have heard the PX100-II. The PX100-II is more boomy which can sometimes cloud the mids making it sound dark. Both are good portables though for their price. But personally, I prefer the PX100. :)

I haven't heard the Tracks either so I can't comment.

These sure are bassier than the px100 first version, its hardcore! they really have to be turned up loud to blend everything with the bass. The bass is my only big gripe with these cans and everything else I like :D That evil bass could be fun though if in the mood  ;D
