Still craving for the sound of this even after trying out Sir Ken's pair.

Too bad $1000 is just a pipe dream for someone still in school :P

the tesla magic got you.  8) i was supposed to get one this christmas but sir ken told me to get an amp first. so i was looking for an amp and found one but my budget keeps getting sidetracked since a lot of bills are ganging up on me.

What's the amp for? Is it needed for the T1?

same here, still dreaming of T1, maybe next year :P

And yes T1 benefits from good amplifier, it unleashes the power of Tesla drivers! The attack and speed of the bass is so good, the density of the sound is remarkably carried all the way up without slowing the pace (a trait I sometimes wish for the LCD2 rev1).
we remember, we forget.

What amp/s matches with the T1 well? Or at least what are the "qualities" of the amp that would pair with them nicely?

as per my conversation with sir ken. the beta22 in the FS thread is enough to make these headphones sound good. but they sound the best from a tube amp. sir ken estimated i needed at least 60k for a good tube amp to maximize to potential of the headphone. of course the 60k is a diy and it's all made up of high quality parts. not sure what tho. that's why i can only dream of this headphone.

I'd like to buy the T1/HD800/D7000.. Probably the HD800. Really want to hear the huge sound stage.

Congratulations.  Nice couple of headphones you got there.  I heard the T1's smaller version recently - Ken's T5P - and if that sounds anything like the T1, you've got yourself a nicely balanced and compelling ear transducer.

What's that cable on your LCD2 btw?  Very thin.

Hmm, must be a lens effect cause they look thinner compared to the Q's I've got.
