Do a kramer mod on them. They really open up with it. I use mine with an LOD and an e5 and it sounds pretty good. More bass and detail than the pl30

The kramer mod is just popping the cap at the end the tube to make it bigger. You can then cut foam that usually come with earbuds to stuff it in the tube to protect the drivers from ear crap and also control the highs. Just make sure that you don't stuff the foam too deep that they touch the driver and also prevent you from pulling them out when you want to replace them.

^ already did the kramer mod and opened it up. I just need cables then it's good to go ;)
