Replacement for Shure E2c
« on: October 07, 2010, 09:51:54 PM »
My dad has his E2c for almost more than 3 years now

He's looking for a replacement. His main complain on them are the lack of bass, for me, their to warm.
Now the cables are starting to crack. What's a good replacement for let's say less than 3k?

Well then, he's going to be very surprised if he's willing to give it a chance. Also, recabling is an option.

I wouldn't be surprised if those E2C's were made in China as well. Most things are nowadays actually.

I think he meant the quality control.  I showed him your replies last night and it looks though as he might get a pair :D

I'll recommend the other two though but I think he's well persuaded by the price of the pl30

Maybe I could also make him get an E5 + LOD ;D
